Fuel Tank Filler Pipe: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bezel.

Remove the rear wheel on the left-hand side. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
Remove the retainers, pushpins and position aside the splash shield.

Remove the retainers, clips and the fuel vapor tube assembly.
Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Remove the retainer and the fresh air hose.

NOTE: Some residual fuel may remain in the fuel tank filler pipe. Carefully drain any residual fuel into a suitable container.
1. Clamp off fuel filler pipe hose, release the clamp and position aside the filler pipe hose.
2. Release the clamp and position aside the vapor tube. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp(s)
3. Remove the bolt.
  Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Inspect the fuel tank filler pipe bezel and remove the fuel tank filler pipe.
