If the washer fuel level low message is missing for less than 2 seconds, the IPC defaults the washer fluid level low message center warning to its last state (on or off) based upon the last known good message received.
If the washer fuel level low message is missing for 2 seconds or longer, the IPC sets DTC U0140:00 in continuous memory and defaults the washer fuel level low message center warning on.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
Verify the washer fluid level is low for a never on display or full with an always on display.
