Cooling Module: Removal

- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- 2.
Recover the A/C system. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation And Charging .
- 3.
Remove the engine driven cooling fan. Refer to: Cooling Fan .
- 4.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- 5.
Remove and discard the lower load path bar retainers and remove the lower load path bars.Torque:
1: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
2: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- 6.
Remove the CAC. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) .
- 9.NOTE: A crowfoot wrench may be needed to access the lower A/C line nut.
Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the A/C lines from the condenser.
Torque:
1: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
2: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Remove the bolt and position the transmission cooler upward to release it from the lower retainer.Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Remove the boltsTorque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- 2.
Position the air deflector from under the A/C condensor prior to lowering the cooling module.Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
