Fuel Rail Supply Tube: Removal

NOTE:
Do not work on the fuel system until the pressure has been released and the engine has cooled. Fuel in the high-pressure fuel system is hot and under very high pressure. High-pressure fuel may cause cuts and contact with hot fuel may cause burns. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
- 1.
Position the hose aside, remove the oil filler cap and remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.
- 2.
Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect - Vehicles With: Dual Batteries .
- 3.NOTE: Use a back-up wrench on the fuel injector supply tube fittings.
Remove and discard the #2 and the #3 fuel injector supply tubes.
- 4.NOTE: Use a back-up wrench on the fuel rail supply tube and the fuel injection pump fittings.
Remove and discard the fuel rail supply tube.
