Active Park Assist Warning Chime

The active park assist warning chime is used to inform the driver that a parking spot is found. The IPC allows the driver to enable or disable the active park assist warning chime through the message center menu. The active park assist chime sounds through the front speakers.

The IPC receives the active park assist chime request from the BCM over the MS-CAN. The BCM receives the active park assist chime request from the PAM over the HS-CAN.

When a chime request is received, the IPC sends the IPC chime request message to the ACM (without Sony audio system) and audio DSP (with Sony audio system) to sound the chime.
