Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional in formation, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Disconnect the pinch strip electrical connector.

  3. Remove the pinch strip.
    • Remove the pin-type retainers.
    • Remove the grommet and route the harness out of the vehicle.

  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
