Pinpoint Test Ax: DTC U0212:00

AX1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
  1. Yes : GO to AX2.
  2. No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
AX2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Connect the scan tool.
- Using a scan tool, carry out the Network Test.
- Does the SCCM pass the Network Test?
  1. Yes : GO to AX3.
  2. No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
AX3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE ABS MODULE SELF-TESTS
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - ABS Module.
- Is DTC B11E8:16 or DTC B11E8:17 recorded?
  1. Yes : For DTC B11E8:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AJ .
    For DTC B11E8:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AK .
  2. No : GO to AX4.
AX4 RECHECK THE ABS MODULE DTCs
- Using a scan tool, clear the ABS module DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - ABS Module.
- Is DTC U0212:00 still present?
  1. Yes : GO to AX5.
  2. No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
AX5 CHECK FOR DTC U0212:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all CMDTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - All CMDTCs.
- Is DTC U0212:00 set in the SCCM?
  1. Yes : INSTALL a new SCCM. REFER to Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) - Removvel & Installation . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the ABS module self-test.
  2. No : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
