Pinpoint Test Ar: DTC U0101:00

AR1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
  1. Yes : GO to AR2.
  2. No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
AR2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Connect the scan tool.
- Using a scan tool, carry out the Network Test.
- Does the TCM pass the Network Test?
  1. Yes : GO to AR3.
  2. No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
AR3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE ABS MODULE AND TCM SELF-TESTS
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - ABS Module.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - TCM.
- Is DTC P1397:00 (or B11E8:16) or (or B11E8:17) recorded?
  1. Yes : For ABS module DTC B11E8:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AJ .
    For ABS module DTC B11E8:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AK .
    
    For TCM DTCs, REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION TORQSHIFT - DIAGNOSIS & TESTING .
  2. No : GO to AR4.
AR4 CHECK FOR DTCs U0101:00 OR U0101 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Using a scan tool, clear all CMDTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self Test - All CMDTCs.
- Is DTC U0101:00 or DTC U0101 set in more than one module?
  1. Yes : INSTALL a new TCM. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the ABS module self-test.
  2. No : INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
