Pinpoint Test Ag: The Compass Is Inoperative (With 4.2" Message Center And 4.2" FCDIM))

AG1 CHECK THE COMPASS ZONE AND CALIBRATION SETTINGS THROUGH THE MESSAGE CENTER
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the vehicle settings in the message center and verify whether the compass zone and calibration setting menu is present.
Is the compass zone and calibration setting menu present?
- Yes : DIAGNOSE the compass display in the 4.2" FCDIM . Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure.
- No : GO to AG2 .
AG2 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM MODULE (GPSM) SELF-TEST
- Carry out the GPSM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure.
- No : GO to AG3 .
AG3 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) SELF-TEST
- Carry out the BCM self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : GO to AG4 .
AG4 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SELF-TEST
- Carry out the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to DTC CHART: IPC .
- No : INSTALL a new GPSM . Refer to the appropriate article for the procedure.
