Side Curtain Airbag - Regular Cab: Removal

The following procedure prescribes critical repair steps required for correct restraint system operation during a crash. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the restraint system and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.

- 1.
Lower the headliner. Refer to: Headliner - Lowering - Regular Cab .
- 2.
Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .

Disconnect the side curtain airbag electrical connector.
- 2.
Remove the side curtain airbag nuts.Torque
: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

Remove the side curtain airbag bolts.Torque
: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
- 2.
Separate the front tether clip.
- 3.
Remove the pin-type retainer.

Detach the side curtain airbag retainers from the A-pillar bracket.
- 2.
Pull the side curtain airbag away from the A-pillar bracket.

Detach the pin-type retainer.
- 2.
Slide the side curtain airbag rearward and out, disengaging the T-tab from the sheet metal and remove the side curtain airbag.
