Shift Patterns: Downshifts

Under certain conditions the transmission will downshift automatically to a lower gear range (without moving the transmission selector lever). There are 4 categories of automatic downshifts; Coastdown, Torque Demand, Forced or Kickdown shifts and grade braking.
