Pinpoint Test AO: U0264:00

• Ignition ON.
• Verify there is an observable symptom present.

Is an observable symptom present? 

1. Yes:  GO to AO2
2. No:  The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

• Ignition ON.
• Using a scan tool, perform the network test.

Does the Image Processing Module - B (IPM-B) pass the network test? 

1. Yes:  GO to AO3
2. No:  REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

• Using a scan tool, retrieve the continuous memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the Image Processing Module - B (IPM-B).

Is DTC U3003:62 recorded? 

1. Yes:  REFER to: REAR VIEW MIRRORS .
2. No:  GO to AO4

• Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

Are any DTC recorded? 

1. Yes:  For DTC U3006:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AM 

   For DTC U3006:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AN 

2. No:  GO to AO5

• Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
• Wait 10 seconds.
• Repeat the IPC self-test.

Is DTC U0264:00 still present? 

1. Yes:  INSTALL a new Image Processing Module - B (IPM-B).

   REFER to: INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR (Vehicles With: One-Touch Up Door Window) .

   REFER to: INTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR (Vehicles Without: One-Touch Up Door Window) .

   CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REPEAT the self-test.

   If DTC U0264:00 is still present, INSTALL a new IPC.

   REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)  .

2. No:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
