Pinpoint Test Z: The Turn Signal On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

Z1: CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
1. Yes: GO to Z2
2. No: GO to Pinpoint Test A
Z2 CHECK THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR OPERATION
- Place the turn signal in the LH or RH turn position and monitor the turn indicator operation.
Do the turn indicators operate correctly?
1. Yes: GO to Z3
2. No: GO to Pinpoint Test O
Z3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AF
  For all other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
2. No: INSTALL a new BCM.
  REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
