Pinpoint Test G: The Speedometer Is Inoperative

G1: RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: For DTC U0121:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AE
  For DTC U0140:00, GO to Pinpoint Test AF
  
  For all other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), REFER to DTC Chart: IPC .
2. No: GO to G2
G2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL .
2. No: GO to G3
G3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
2. No: GO to G4
G4 CHECK THE SPEEDOMETER OPERATION USING THE DEALER TEST MODE
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the speedometer.
- Ignition OFF.
- Enter the Dealer Test Mode. Enter the Dealer Test Mode.
  REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .
- Scroll to gauge sweep.
- Monitor the speedometer when the gauge sweep initiates.
Does the speedometer begin at 0 km/h (0 mph), move to 258 km/h (160 mph) and return to 0 km/h (0 mph)?
1. Yes: INSTALL a new Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU).
  REFER to: HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) .
2. No: INSTALL a new IPC.
  REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
