Pinpoint Test As: U045A:82
- AS1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to AS2
- No : The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- AS2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform the network test.
Does the Parking Aid Module (PAM) pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to AS3
- No : REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
- AS3 PERFORM THE RECORDED PARKING AID MODULE (PAM) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Parking Aid Module (PAM) self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
- Yes : REFER to: PARKING AID .
- No : GO to AS4
- AS4 PERFORM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
- Yes : REFER to DTC CHART: IPC .
- No : GO to AS5
- AS5 RECHECK THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI), or the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U045A:82 still present?
- Yes
: INSTALL a new Parking Aid Module (PAM).
REFER to: PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE (PAM) - VEHICLES WITH: 5-DOOR .
CLEAR the DTC . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U045A:82 still present, INSTALL a new IPC .
REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
