Pinpoint Test AF: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

AF1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
1. Yes : GO to AF2
2. No : INSTALL a new IPC .
  REFER to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
AF2 CHECK THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Open and close the driver door.
- Observe the interior lamps.
Do the interior lamps operate correctly from the driver door?
1. Yes : GO to AF3
2. No : REFER to: INTERIOR LIGHTING .
AF3 PERFORM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes : REFER to DTC CHART: IPC .
2. No : GO to AF4
AF4 PERFORM THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes : REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
2. No : INSTALL a new BCM .
  REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
