Pinpoint Test
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) self-test.
- Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
- Yes:
For Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0121:00, REFER to Diagnostic Routine AU .
For all other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), REFER to DTC CHART: INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- No: GO to 2 on page 2.
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module self-test.
- Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
- Yes: REFER to DTC CHART: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE .
- No: GO to 3 on page 2.
- CARRY OUT THE Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) INDICATOR LAMP CONTROL ACTIVE COMMAND USING THE SCAN TOOL
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, view the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Parameter Identifications (PIDs).
- Select the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator Parameter Identification (PID) (ABS_LAMP). Command the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator on then off. Observe the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator.
- Does the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator turn illuminate when commanded on and turn off when commanded off?
- Yes:
If the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator is always on, INSTALL a new Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) module. REFER to ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE

If the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) warning indicator is never on, the system is operating correctly at this time.
- No: INSTALL a new Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
