Pinpoint Test

  1. CHECK THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION
    1. Ignition OFF.
    2. On vehicles without Intelligent Access (IA), place the ignition in the OFF position with the key in the ignition lock cylinder.
    3. On vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA), place the ignition in the ACC state.
    4. Open the Left Hand (LH) front door and observe the key-in-ignition warning chime operation.
    • Does the key-in-ignition warning chime operate correctly? 
    1. Yes:  GO to on page 2.
    2. No:  INSTALL a new Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
  2. CHECK THE MEMORY SET FEATURE
    1. Verify the memory set procedure can successfully change the memory preferences.
    • Does the memory set procedure successfully change the memory preferences? 
    1. Yes:  GO to on page 2.
    2. No:  REFER to SYMPTOM CHART: SEATING - MEMORY .
  3. RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Driver Seat Module (DSM) SELF-TEST
  1. Using a scan tool, perform the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test.
  1. Yes:  REFER to Diagnostic Routine AN .
  2. No:  INSTALL a new Driver Seat Module (DSM). REFER to DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
