Pinpoint Test
- CHECK THE KEY-IN-IGNITION WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- On vehicles without Intelligent Access (IA), place the ignition in the OFF position with the key in the ignition lock cylinder.
- On vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA), place the ignition in the ACC state.
- Open the Left Hand (LH) front door and observe the key-in-ignition warning chime operation.
- Does the key-in-ignition warning chime operate correctly?
- Yes: GO to 2 on page 2.
- No: INSTALL a new Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- CHECK THE MEMORY SET FEATURE
- Verify the memory set procedure can successfully change the memory preferences.
- Does the memory set procedure successfully change the memory preferences?
- Yes: GO to 3 on page 2.
- No: REFER to SYMPTOM CHART: SEATING - MEMORY .
- RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Driver Seat Module (DSM) SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test.
- Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0140 recorded?
- Yes: REFER to Diagnostic Routine AN .
- No: INSTALL a new Driver Seat Module (DSM). REFER to DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
