SYMPTOM CHART

No communication with the Driver Seat Module (DSM)
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE O .
The memory seat is inoperative, does not operate correctly - does not operate horizontally, vertically or recline
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Seat control switch
  • Seat track
  • Power seat motor
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE I .
The memory seat does not operate correctly - does not operate using the memory set switch
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Memory set switch
  • Missing status information - Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN)
    • ignition status
    • gear selector position
  • Seat track
  • Power seat motor
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE J .
The memory seat does not operate correctly - the seat moves in one-second intervals
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
CARRY OUT the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test and retrieve any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to DTC CHART: DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
The memory seat does not operate correctly - the seat does not move to the correct memory position
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Memory set switch
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
  • Seat track
CARRY OUT the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test and retrieve any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to DTC CHART: DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
The memory seat does not operate correctly - does not operate using the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) feature
  • Intelligent Access (IA) key is not correctly associated to a memory position
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
  • Body Control Module (BCM)
VERIFY the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) feature is operating correctly and is associated to a memory position. REFER to the Owner's Literature , REFER to REMOTE MEMORY ACTIVATION (with Intelligent Access (IA)). CARRY OUT the Driver Seat Module (DSM) self-test and REFER to DTC CHART: DRIVER SEAT MODULE (DSM) .
Easy entry/easy exit is inoperative, does not operate correctly
  • Easy entry/exit feature is not enabled
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Missing status information - Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN)
    • ignition status
    • gear selector position
  • Key-in-ignition switch
  • Driver Seat Module (DSM)
