RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) self-test.
- Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: For Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0140:00, REFER to Diagnostic Routine AV .
  For Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0424:82, REFER to Diagnostic Routine BC .
  
  For all other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), REFER to DTC CHART: INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
2. No: GO to 2 on page 2.
RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) MODULE SELF-TEST
1. Using a scan tool, perform the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) module self-test.
- Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
1. Yes: For Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC), REFER to DTC CHART: HEATING VENTILATION AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) MODULE - ELECTRONIC MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (EMTC) .
  For Dual Automatic Temperature Control (DATC), REFER to DTC CHART: HEATING, VENTILATION, AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) MODULE - DATC .
2. No: GO to 3 on page 2.
RETRIEVE THE RECORDED Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) FROM THE Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) SELF-TEST

Using a scan tool, perform the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.

Yes: REFER to the appropriate Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS .
No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The condition may have been caused by a heat soak concern.
