- CHECK the operation of the speedometer, the fuel gauge and the odometer.
- If the speedometer, the fuel gauge and the odometer do not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST H (speedometer), GO to PINPOINT TEST B (fuel gauge, single sender L-shaped fuel tank), GO to PINPOINT TEST C (fuel gauge, dual sender saddle-type fuel tank) or GO to PINPOINT TEST J (odometer).
- If the speedometer, the fuel gauge and the odometer operate correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
|
- The DRIVER DOOR, PASSENGER DOOR, REAR LEFT DOOR, REAR RIGHT DOOR AJAR, LIFTGATE AJAR or PLEASE CLOSE DOOR warning is inoperative
|
|
- OBSERVE the door ajar warning indicator.
- If the door ajar warning indicator does not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST AA .
- If the door ajar warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The PARK BRAKE ENGAGED message is inoperative
|
|
- OBSERVE the BRAKE warning indicator.
- If the BRAKE warning indicator does not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST M .
- If the BRAKE warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The PRESS RESET TO CLEAR message is inoperative
|
|
NOTE:
The PRESS RESET TO CLEAR is displayed following other warning displays that can be reset such as the low washer fluid level or low fuel level. The PRESS RESET TO CLEAR does not display when warnings that cannot be reset are active such as any of the door ajar warnings.
- VERIFY the message center switch operates correctly when each switch button is pressed.
- If the message center switch does not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST AE .
- If the message center switch operates correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The LOW FUEL LEVEL warning is inoperative
|
- Fuel gauge indication above the level required to turn on the warning message
- IC
|
- VERIFY that the odometer and fuel gauge are operating correctly and the DTE
display is 80 km (50 miles) to empty or less.
- If the odometer or fuel gauge do not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST J (odometer), GO to PINPOINT TEST B (fuel gauge, single sender L-shaped fuel tank) or GO to PINPOINT TEST C (fuel gauge, dual sender saddle-type fuel tank).
- If the DTE
display is above 80 km (50 miles) to empty, the system is operating correctly. The low fuel warning is turned on when the DTE
display is 80 km (50 miles) to empty or less.

- The CHECK BRAKE SYSTEM warning is inoperative
|
|
- OBSERVE the BRAKE warning indicator.
- If the BRAKE warning indicator does not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST M .
- If the BRAKE warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL warning is inoperative
|
|
- OBSERVE the BRAKE warning indicator.
- If the BRAKE warning indicator does not operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST M .
- If the BRAKE warning indicator operates correctly, INSTALL a new IC
. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.

- The LOW TIRE PRESSURE, TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR FAULT or TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR FAULT warning is inoperative
