Transit Mode

The transit mode is used to prevent vehicle battery discharge when the vehicle is unused for an extended period of time (possibly while parked in a dealer lot or the assembly plant waiting on transportation from the plant to the dealer). The transit mode conserves the battery reserve voltage by shortening the delayed accessory window of operation. The IC  provides a message to the SJB  indicating that the vehicle has reached 80 km (50 miles). The SJB  then transitions the delayed accessory power time-out from one minute to ten minutes.
