Pinpoint Test Am: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative

- AM1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
- Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
- Yes: GO to AM2 .
- No: INSTALL a new IC . REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER (IC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
- AM2 CHECK THE EXTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Place the headlamp switch in the PARKING or HEADLAMPS ON position.
- Do the headlamps or parking lamps operate?
- Yes: GO to AM3 .
- No: REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
- AM3 CHECK THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATOR OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Open then close the LH front door while observing the door ajar warning indicator in the IC message center or the integrated display.
- Does the door ajar warning indicator operate correctly?
- Yes: INSTALL a new SJB . REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No: GO to PINPOINT TEST AA .
