The IC  is available with either an integrated display (base IC  ) or with a message center display (message center IC  ). The integrated display and the message center display are 2-line displays. Both the base IC  and the message center IC  contain gauges, informational indicators, and warning indicators that are designed to provide the driver with a system status and to alert the driver that certain conditions exist in the vehicle.

The IC  uses both hardwired and messaged inputs to control the gauge and indicator outputs. Other systems that use IC  inputs are the PATS and traction control. Refer to ANTI-THEFT - PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS) or VEHICLE DYNAMIC SYSTEMS .
