- Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical Electrical - Loose or damaged seat mounting hardware
- Front seat tracks obstructed
- Seat at limit(s) of travel
- Damaged switch(es)
- Damaged seat trim cover
- Damaged seat track
- Battery junction box (BJB):
- circuit breaker 601 (20A)
- fuse 16 (20A)
- Central junction box (CJB) fuse(s):
- 9 (7.5A)
- 17 (10A)
- Faulty wiring harness
- Loose, corroded or damaged connectors
- Damaged seat control switch
- Damaged lumbar control switch
- Damaged heated seat switch
- Damaged seat track motor
- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
