DTC Charts

AUDIO UNIT DTC CHART

DTC Description Action
B1117 Audio Steering Wheel Button Stuck VERIFY that no steering wheel control switches are stuck, and that no steering wheel control switch was pressed during the self-test. REPEAT as necessary.
If no concern is found, go to Pinpoint Test G .
B1119 Audio Disc DVD Player Thermal Shutdown ALLOW the audio unit to cool. CLEAR the DTCs. DISREGARD the DTC.
B1136 Audio Steering Wheel Switch #2 Circuit Failure Go to Pinpoint Test G .
B1140 Map Disk Invalid REMOVE the map DVD and CLEAN it. INSPECT for scratches, fingerprints, or damage, and REPAIR as necessary. VERIFY a valid map DVD is being used. If no concern is found, INSERT a known good map DVD. REPEAT the self-test.
  • If the system operates correctly, the concern was caused by a damaged or invalid map DVD.
  • If DTC B1140 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
B1154 Subwoofer #1 Short to Ground Go to Pinpoint Test E .
B1155 Subwoofer #1 Short to Battery Go to Pinpoint Test E .
B1318 Battery Voltage Low CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous low voltage condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnose the low battery voltage condition.
B1342 ECU is Faulted CLEAR the DTCs. CARRY OUT the self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2103 Antenna Not Connected Go to Pinpoint Test A .
B2204 GPS Antenna Connection Open or Short Go to Pinpoint Test M .
B2274 Phone Transceiver Active Circuit Failure DISREGARD the DTC. It is not applicable for this vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs.
B2384 Audio Reverse Aid Mute Input CKT. Failure DISREGARD the DTC. It is not applicable for this vehicle. CLEAR the DTCs.
B2404 Audio Steering Wheel Switch Circuit Failure Go to Pinpoint Test G .
B2405 Audio Disc CD Player Thermal Shutdown Fault The audio unit was over temperature. Audio operation will resume after the audio unit cools. This is normal operation. CLEAR the DTCs.
B2406 Audio Disc CD Player Internal Fault
NOTE: DTC B1342 will also be set.
CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B2406 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2477 Module Configuration Failure REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
B2633 Driver-Front Microphone Circuit Failure DISREGARD the DTC. The vehicle is not equipped with this feature.
B2656 DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) Error
NOTE: DTC B1342 will also be set.
CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B2656 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2913 (Audiophile only) Audio Subwoofer Not Connected Go to Pinpoint Test E .
B2924 Audio Button Stuck
NOTE: If equipped with navigation, the hard key test can be used to verify a stuck button.
VERIFY no audio unit buttons are stuck and that no audio unit button is pressed during the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B2924 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2965 Audio System Speaker Circuit Fault Go to Pinpoint Test B .
C1992 Vehicle Speed Circuit Failure VERIFY the audio unit is configured to receive the vehicle speed signal through the medium speed controller area network (MS-CAN). REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
P0812 Reverse Input Circuit VERIFY the audio unit is configured to receive the reverse input signal through the MS-CAN. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
U0140 Lost Communication With Body Control Module (GEM)
NOTE: If no related concern is currently present, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.
VERIFY the operation of the illumination system and the accessory delay.
U0155 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IC) Control Module
NOTE: If no related concern is currently present, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.
CARRY OUT the smart junction box (SJB) self-test.
  • If DTC U0155 is present in both the audio unit and the SJB, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC U0155 is only present in the audio unit, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
U0159 Lost Communication With Parking Assist Control Module (PAM)
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.

U0193 Lost Communication With Digital Audio Control Module (SDARS)
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.

U0196 Lost Communication With Entertainment Control Module - Rear (AUX) Go to Symptom Chart .
U0197 Lost Communication With Telephone Control Module DISREGARD the DTC. The vehicle is not equipped with this feature.
U0238 Lost Communication With Digital Audio Control module "D" (DSP)
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.
Go to Symptom Chart .
U0249 Lost Communication With Entertainment Control Module - Rear "B" (RCU) DISREGARD the DTC. The vehicle is not equipped with this feature.
U1900 CAN Communication Bus Fault - Receive Error REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
U2050 No Application Present CONFIGURE the audio unit. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2050 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
U2051 One or More Calibration Files Missing / Corrupt CONFIGURE the audio unit. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2050 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to Audio Unit . TEST the system for normal operation.
U2473 Unexpected Vehicle Speed (VSS) Go to Pinpoint Test P .

THX® AMPLIFIER DTC CHART

DTC Description Action
B1158 Subwoofer #2 Open Go to Pinpoint Test D .
B1317 Battery Voltage High CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous over-charge condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnose the over-charging condition.
B1318 Battery Voltage Low CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous low voltage condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnose the low battery voltage condition.
B1342 ECU is Faulted CLEAR the DTCs. CARRY OUT the self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new THX® amplifier. REFER to Audio Amplifier - THX® . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2477 Module Configuration Failure REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
B2913 Audio Subwoofer Not Connected Go to Pinpoint Test C .
B2925 Subwoofer Speaker Short Circuit If the symptom is no audio from all speakers, go to Pinpoint Test D .
If the symptom is no audio from the subwoofer, go to Pinpoint Test C .
B292A Subwoofer #2 Speaker Short Circuit
NOTE: Despite the DTC description, this DTC applies to the THX® amplifier clip/enable circuit, not the subwoofer.
Go to Pinpoint Test D .
B2965 Audio System Speaker Circuit Fault If the symptom is no audio from all speakers, go to Pinpoint Test D .
If the symptom is no audio from one or more (but not all) speakers, go to Pinpoint Test C .
C1992 Vehicle Speed Circuit Failure DISREGARD the DTC. CLEAR the DTCs.
U0140 Lost Communication With Body Control Module (GEM)
NOTE: If no related concern is currently present, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.
CARRY OUT the audio unit self-test.
  • If DTC U0140 is present in both the THX® amplifier and the audio unit, INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC U0140 is only present in the THX® amplifier, INSTALL a new THX® amplifier. REFER to Audio Amplifier - THX® . TEST the system for normal operation.
U0155 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IC) Control Module
NOTE: If no related concern is currently present, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.
CARRY OUT the SJB self-test.
  • If DTC U0155 is present in both the THX® amplifier and the SJB, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC U0155 is only present in the audio unit, INSTALL a new THX® amplifier. REFER to Audio Amplifier - THX® . TEST the system for normal operation.
U0184 Lost Communication With Radio (ACM)
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.

U0196 Lost Communication With Entertainment Control Module - Rear (AUX) Go to Symptom Chart .
U2050 No Application Present CONFIGURE the THX® amplifier. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2050 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new THX® amplifier. REFER to Audio Amplifier - THX® . TEST the system for normal operation.
U2051 One or More Calibration Files Missing / Corrupt CONFIGURE the THX® amplifier. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2051 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new THX® amplifier. REFER to Audio Amplifier - THX® . TEST the system for normal operation.
NOTE: For all U-codes listed in this chart, if no related symptoms are observed, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: While running the satellite audio bezel diagnostic test, DTCs contain the characters "SAT" after the 5-digit DTC.
SATELLITE RADIO RECEIVER DTC CHART

DTC Description Action
B1031 SDARS Satellite Antenna Open Go to Pinpoint Test J .
B1032 SDARS Satellite Antenna Short Go to Pinpoint Test J .
B1318 Battery Voltage Low CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous low voltage condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnosis the low battery voltage condition.
B1342 ECU is Faulted CLEAR the DTCs. CARRY OUT the self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new satellite radio receiver. REFER to Satellite Radio Receiver . TEST the system for normal operation.

U0155 Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IC) Control Module
NOTE: If no related concern is currently present, disregard the DTC.
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.

  • If DTC U0155 is present in both the satellite radio receiver and the SJB, INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC U0155 is only present in the satellite radio receiver, INSTALL a new satellite radio receiver. REFER to Satellite Radio Receiver . TEST the system for normal operation.
U0184 Lost Communication With Radio (ACM)
NOTE: Diagnose DTC B1318 (if present) before diagnosing this DTC.

U0196 Lost Communication With Entertainment Control Module - Rear (AUX) Go to Symptom Chart .
U0197 Lost Communication With Telephone Control Module DISREGARD the DTC. The vehicle is not equipped with this feature.
U0249 Lost Communication With Entertainment Control Module - Rear "B" (RCU) DISREGARD the DTC. CLEAR the DTCs.
U0255 Lost Communication With Front Controls Interface Module DISREGARD the DTC. CLEAR the DTCs.
U0256 Lost Communication With Front Display Interface Module DISREGARD the DTC. CLEAR the DTCs.
U2050 No Application Present CONFIGURE the satellite radio receiver. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION . REPEAT the self-test. If DTC U2050 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new satellite radio receiver. REFER to Satellite Radio Receiver . TEST the system for normal operation.

DVD PLAYER DTC CHART

DTC Description Action
B1119 Audio Disc DVD Player Thermal Shutdown ALLOW the DVD player to cool. CLEAR the DTCs. DISREGARD the DTC.
B111F LCD Thermal Shutdown ALLOW the DVD player to cool. CLEAR the DTCs. DISREGARD the DTC.
B1317 Battery Voltage High CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous over-charge condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnosis the overcharging condition.
B1318 Battery Voltage Low CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the charging system. REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
  • If the charging system is OK, the DTC was set by a previous low voltage condition. No concern is found at this time.
  • If the charging system is not OK, REFER to CHARGING SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION to diagnosis the low battery voltage condition.
B1342 ECU is Faulted CLEAR the DTCs. CARRY OUT the self-test. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) Player . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2477 Module Configuration Failure REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
B2656 DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) Error CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B2656 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) Player . TEST the system for normal operation.
B2924 Audio Button Stuck VERIFY no DVD player buttons are stuck and that no DVD player button is pressed during the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. If DTC B2924 is retrieved again, INSTALL a new DVD player. REFER to Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) Player . TEST the system for normal operation.
