Parking Brake Shoes: Installation
- Position the parking brake shoes and attach the retracting spring.
- Install the 2 parking brake shoe hold-down pins and springs.
- Install the parking brake shoe adjusting screw spring.
- Install the brake shoe adjusting screw.
- Adjust the parking brake shoe. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Shoe Adjustment .
- Reload the tension on the parking brake cable. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
NOTE:
Completely retract the parking brake adjusting screw before installation.
