Removal And Installation
- Release the parking brake cable tension. For additional information, refer to Parking Brake Cable Tension Release .
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Remove the wire form bolt.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Disconnect the intermediate cable from the LH rear cable at the cable equalizer.
- Disconnect the front of the LH rear cable conduit at the frame bracket.
- Disconnect the LH parking brake cable from the parking brake lever and remove the cable.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Test the parking brake system for correct operation.
