Information And Message Center

The message center is a liquid crystal display (LCD), integrated into the instrument cluster. The message center functions are controlled by the TRIP/RESET button on base instrument clusters, and by the message center switches on high series instrument clusters. The base series instrument cluster message center has a display format of 2 lines x 12 characters, and the high series instrument cluster message center has a display format of 4 lines x 12 characters. The message center displays important vehicle information by constantly monitoring different vehicle systems. The message center notifies the driver of a potential vehicle problem by displaying a warning message pertaining to the system in which a fault has been detected.
