DTC P2802: Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Low Input

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
P2802 - TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW INPUT

Description:  The PCM checks the gear selector position by monitoring 3 independent voltage signals from the transmission range (TR) sensor. The TR voltages are then compared to an allowed voltage range for each gear. The test fails when the compared voltages are out of range. This DTC indicates that 1 TR signal is low.
Possible Causes:
  • TR circuit shorted to ground or SIG RTN.
  • TR circuit open.
  • Damaged TR sensor.
