SHIFT CONCERNS - NO 1-2 SHIFT (AUTOMATIC)

220 - ROUTINE
Powertrain Control System
PCM (gasoline engines), Transmission Control Module (TCM) (diesel engines), external vehicle harness, transmission internal harness or Shift Solenoid C (SSC)	CARRY OUT the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) and Key ON Engine Running (KOER) self-test. For gasoline engines GO to PINPOINT TEST A . For diesel engines GO to PINPOINT TEST F . REPAIR as required. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the vehicle system for normal operation.
Main Control
Defective intermediate (2, 6) clutch regulator valve	INSPECT main control for stuck valves or contamination. REFER to MAIN CONTROL - OVERHAUL .
Clutch Plates
Intermediate (2, 6) clutch friction and steel plate - failure	PERFORM Air Pressure Test on intermediate (2, 6) clutch. REFER to SPECIAL TESTING PROCEDURES . INSPECT the intermediate (2, 6) clutch assembly for damage. REPAIR as required. REFER to TRANSMISSION - OVERHAUL .
