Powertrain Control System
PCM (gasoline engines), Transmission Control Module (TCM) (diesel engines), external vehicle harness, transmission internal harness, Shift Solenoid A (SSA)	CARRY OUT the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) and Key ON Engine Running (KOER) self-test. For gasoline engines GO to PINPOINT TEST A . For diesel engines GO to PINPOINT TEST F . REPAIR as required. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the vehicle system for normal operation.
Main Control
Defective forward (1, 2, 3, 4) clutch regulator valve Defective forward (1, 2, 3, 4) clutch latch valve	INSPECT main control assembly for stuck valves or contamination. REFER to MAIN CONTROL - OVERHAUL . INSPECT main control assembly for stuck valves or contamination. REFER to MAIN CONTROL - OVERHAUL .
Driveline
Engine driveline looseness in the driveshaft, U-joints or the engine mounts	REPAIR as required.
