- CHECK the transmission fluid level. ADJUST transmission fluid to correct level. REFER to PRELIMINARY INSPECTION .

- PCM (gasoline engines), Transmission Control Module (TCM) (diesel engines), external vehicle harness, transmission internal harness, Shift Solenoid A (SSA)
|
- DISCONNECT the transmission harness connector and retest. If the concern is still present, proceed to Main Control inspection. If the concern is resolved, CARRY OUT the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) and Key ON Engine Running (KOER) self-test. For gasoline engines GO to PINPOINT TEST A . For diesel engines GO to PINPOINT TEST F . REPAIR as required. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the vehicle system for normal operation.

- VERIFY line pressure. If line pressure is below specification, INSTALL a new filter assembly.
