Recommended Procedure

  1. First verify that there is fuel in the tank and battery voltage going to the fuel pump, using a digital multimeter connected between the two circuits going to the pump. Battery voltage will be present for approximately 20 seconds after the ignition key is turned on.   2. Remove the plug from the front of the secondary fuel filter housing. Install Adapter (303-765) and Gauge 0-160 psi (0-1.1 mPa) (Bar 014-00761) or equivalent. Measure pressure in crank or run. If pressure measures below 45 psi (310 kPa), go to the next step to verify no restriction.
