Recommended Procedure

Using the scan tool, record values for closed EGR position. Run the output state control test to energize the coil and open the EGR valve. Record the values. Subtract the open valve from the closed valve values. If both valve travel and voltage travel are below specification, install a new EGR valve and retest.
