Oil Pan: Installation

    CAUTION: Ensure silicone sealant fills groove between rear main bearing cap and cylinder block at both edges of main bearing cap.
  1. Apply Silicone Sealant (E3AZ-19652-A) on oil pan rails of cylinder block, rear main bearing cap, and front cover-to-cylinder block areas.
  2. Install oil pan and seals. Tighten oil pan bolts in 2 stages and in sequence to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Raise subframe, and install lower control arm-to-strut bolts. Loosely install all subframe bolts. Tighten subframe bolts to specification.
  4. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. When lowering engine, ensure locating pin in left engine mount is seated before allowing pin on right side to seat.
  5. Fill engine with oil. Tighten all bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
