Test V: Door Ajar Indicator Is Always On

Operate interior lights by opening and losing all doors and liftgate. If interior lighting system functions correctly, go to next step. If interior lighting system does not function correctly, repair interior lighting as necessary. See INTERIOR/ILLUMINATION LIGHTS article.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect CTM connector C1000. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If door ajar indicator turns off, replace CTM and retest. If door ajar indicator remains on, go to next step.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect CJB connector C15. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If door ajar indicator turns off, replace CTM and retest. If door ajar indicator remains on, go to next step.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector C809 See Figure. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 15 (Black/Blue wire) at CJB harness connector. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 10 k/ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Blue wire and retest.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Check for corrosion, pushed out pins and connectors that are not connected properly. Repair any damage found and reconnect any loose connectors. Operate system. If problem still exists, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Configure replacement instrument cluster, see appropriate MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK article. If problem does not exist, then system is operating properly at this time, clear any DTCs and retest.
