Test Q: Service Engine Soon Indicator Is Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using New Generation Star (NGS) tester, select instrument cluster WARNING LAMPS AND CHIME active command. Trigger ALL LAMPS active command. Observe SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning indicator. If SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning indicator illuminates, repair engine performance concern. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - EEC-V article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning indicator does not illuminate, replace instrument cluster.
