EPC Solenoid

CAUTION: Transaxle damage will occur if stall test is conducted with EPC switch depressed.

Record line pressure. Maximum line pressure should be 84 psi (5.9 kg/cm2 ). If line pressure is not within specification, see TEST E  under SYSTEM TESTS or PERFORMANCE TESTS in FORD AX4S OVERHAUL article. Depress EPC switch. Minimum line pressure should be 56 psi (3.9 kg/cm2 ). If line pressure is not within specification, see TEST E  under SYSTEM TESTS or PERFORMANCE TESTS in FORD AX4S OVERHAUL article.
