Equipment Hookup

Apply parking brake, and place gearshift lever in "P" position. Block drive wheels. Turn off all electrical accessories. Connect appropriate test equipment to vehicle as follows:
- Generic Scan Tool
Ensure scan tool meets or exceeds OBD-II standard. Follow manufacturer's instructions to hook up equipment and record DTCs. - New Generation Star Tester
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect adapter cable lead to diagnostic tool. See Fig 1 . Connect service connectors of adapter cable to vehicle DLC located below instrument panel, to right of steering column. Go to KEY ON ENGINE OFF (KOEO) SELF-TEST .
