Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid receives signal from the PCM. The TCC solenoid controls application, modulation and release of torque converter clutch. If solenoid fails in ON position, vehicle engine will run rough (shudder) and engine stalls when gearshift lever is in "D" position at low idle speeds (2nd, 3rd or 4th gear). If solenoid fails in OFF position, torque converter clutch will not engage.
