Transmission Control Switch & Transmission Control Indicator Light

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

The Transmission Control Switch (TCS) is mounted on gearshift lever handle. Switch sends a signal to PCM. The PCM turns on Transmission Control Indicator Light (TCIL) and toggles Shift Solenoid "C" (SSC), disabling 4th gear. Malfunction of switch will cause lack of 4th gear (overdrive) disable function.
