Removal & Installation (F-Series)

NOTE: On installation, use NEW CNG approved "O" rings. Lubricate NEW "O" rings with 5W-30 motor oil.
  1. Release CNG fuel system pressure. See CNG FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE (FUEL LINE VENTING & FUEL TANK EVACUATING) . Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain engine cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM BLEEDING in SPECIFICATIONS article in ENGINE COOLING.
  2. Disconnect pressure relief vent hose. Disconnect fuel lines. Disconnect electrical connector and 2 coolant hoses from fuel pressure regulator. Remove 2 bolts retaining fuel pressure regulator and remove fuel pressure regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. After installation is complete, fuel lines must be leak tested. Perform LEAK TEST (CNG) under FUEL SYSTEM (NATURAL GAS VEHICLES) in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING - EEC-V (BI-FUEL & NATURAL GAS) article.
