Selector Lever - MKZ: Removal

  1. Remove the selector lever bezel. For additional information, refer to Removal .
  2. Remove the PRNDL electrical connector from the RH side of the center console.

  3. Remove the LH and RH center console trim covers.
    NOTE: LH shown in illustration, RH similar.

  4. Remove the LH and RH center console-to-selector lever screws.
    NOTE: LH shown in illustration, RH similar.

  5. Disconnect the selector lever cable end from the selector lever ball stud.

  6. Disconnect the selector lever electrical connector.

  7. Remove the 4 selector lever nuts.

  8. Position the selector lever off of the studs, release the tab on the selector lever cable and remove it from the selector lever.
