Removal and Installation

- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.
- Position the front seats to the full rearward and downward positions.
- Pull the middle and rear of the LH and RH floor console lower trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.
- Position a piece of cardboard between the LH and RH floor console lower trim panels and the floor console.NOTE: Damage to the floor console upper trim panels may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console lower trim panels.
- Remove the LH floor console lower trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.
- Remove the RH floor console lower trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.
- Position the front seats forward.
- Remove the 2 floor console rear screws.
- Position the front seats rearward.
- Open the storage compartment lid, remove the LH and RH floor console finish moldings.
- Lift upward on the floor console finish moldings to release the retaining clips.
- Remove the selector lever knob. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the floor console finish panel in the following sequence:
- With a non-marring tool, pry upward on the right rear portion of the floor console finish panel to release the 2 retaining clips.
- With a non-marring tool, pry upward on the front sides of the floor console finish panel to release the 4 retaining clips.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Slide the park brake handle boot away from the park brake handle.
NOTE: Use a non-marring tool to pry on the component. Failure to will cause damage to the component. - Remove the 4 floor console front screws.
- Disconnect the floor console bulkhead and front in-line electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the floor console power point connector and detach the 2 wire harness pin-type retainers.
- Remove the floor console.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
