Removal & Installation (Contour)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Close quarter turn valve. Partially lower vehicle. Start and run engine with ALT/GAS switch is in ALT position until engine stalls or automatically switches to GAS mode. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise vehicle again. Remove compuvalve shield.
  2. Slowly crack open pressure regulator Gyrolok fitting and allow any trapped gas to escape. Clamp coolant hoses closed and disconnect from pressure regulator. Disconnect low-pressure fuel line. Remove and discard copper washer(s) and disconnect fuel lines from fuel pressure regulator.
  3. Disconnect Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor electrical connector. Remove fuel pressure regulator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten Gyrolok fitting until snug, then tighten an additional 1/2 turn. Pressurize CNG system and inspect fittings for leaks.
