Removal & Installation

- Drain cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING under COOLING SYSTEMS. Remove lower intake manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (LOWER) under INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove thermostat housing bolts. Remove coolant crossover tube bolts. Remove coolant crossover tube assembly.
- Disconnect knock sensor connector. Remove knock sensor bolt and remove knock sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten knock sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Fill and bleed cooling system. See COOLING SYSTEM FILLING & BLEEDING under COOLING SYSTEM.
