Removal & Installation (3.0L)

Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor is mounted on right rear corner, top of engine. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove upper intake manifold. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (3.0L - UPPER) under INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Disconnect CMP sensor connector. Remove CMP sensor mounting bolts. Remove CMP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten CMP sensor mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
