Removal & Installation (3.0L)

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove upper intake manifold and throttle body assembly. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (3.0L - UPPER) under INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
- Disconnect fuel line. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS . Disconnect fuel injector connectors. Remove 4 fuel injection supply manifold bolts. Remove fuel injection supply manifold and injectors. Remove injectors from fuel rail by using a rocking motion and discard "O" rings.
- To install, lubricate NEW "O" rings with clean engine oil. DO NOT use silicone grease. Ensure injectors are fully seated in lower intake manifold. Install 4 fuel injection supply manifold bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect fuel injector wiring harness. To install, reverse removal procedure.
