Test Procedure

AR1 PRELIMINARY DIAGNOSIS FOR DTC P0300

Connect the scan tool.
Retrieve and record all DTCs.
Clear all DTCs.
Perform Continuous on-demand self test.

ARE ANY DTCS PRESENT?

Yes	No
For DTC P0300, REFER to Go to AR2. For other DTCs, REFER to DIAGNOSTIC SUBROUTINES - 6.0L DIESEL .	Misfire is intermittent and is currently not active. If a driveability concern exists, REFER to SYMPTOM CHARTS - 6.0L DIESEL .

AR2 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0300

Possible causes:
- fuel concern
- oil aeration
- high pressure oil pump malfunction
- fuel injector
- mechanical engine failure
- electrical failure
Carry out an visual inspection, check for loose connections, damaged or corroded pins. Wiggle harness attempting to recreate the fault.

ARE ANY WIRING OR TERMINAL CONCERNS PRESENT?

Yes	No
REPAIR as necessary. PERFORM OBD drive cycle. REFER to DIAGNOSTIC METHODS - 6.0L DIESEL .	REFER to DIAGNOSTIC SUBROUTINES - 6.0L DIESEL , Performance Diagnostics Chart.
